SYROS CHAKALAKA PINEAPPLE, MANGO or KIWI
Syros has its own facilities in Belgium to produce its own Chakalaka®. The recipes of these salsa’s are based on ancient South-African traditional fruit and vegetable stews, especially those in the Limpopo province.
At this moment, three Chakalaka® versions are in production, everyone of them containing a dominant type of fruit: the pineapple, the mango and the kiwi Chakalaka® .
Those new, exotic chakalaka salsa’s are a spicy mix of exotic fruit and vegetables. They are made of the best ingredients and have a sensational taste: light, fuity and crispy, with a subtle spicy aftertaste.
Syros Chakalaka® is ready to use and can be served both hot and cold, as a dip or with meat, fish, poultry, rice, etc.
Ingredients
Only first quality ingredients, rich in vitamins, are used for the production of Chakalaka®. The Syros salsa’s distinguish themselves by their high percentage of fruit and vegetables.
Production
The products are packed, subjected to a light pasteurisation, and immediately frozen at -20°C or refrigerated at 0°- 4°C.
Health aspects
Chakalaka® is a healthy exotic salsa rich in vitamins C and B6 and in minerals. All varieties of Chakalaka® are low in fat and cholesterol.
